i dug mine by hand.[small towers]. when the back hoe guy dug the hole for my septic tank it was a perfect rectangle with vertical sides. the tank only had 6'' space all around when it was lowered into the hole. if you get an experienced operator they can do amazing things with heavy equipment. k9il
