The 930 S-meter is quite logaritmic. Around S-2 it´s close
to 1 dB and S-8 to S-9 is close to 5 dB. So you got to
be careful with that radio when using the S-meter. Above
S-9 it´s quite decent by the way.
The FT-1000D forexample isn´t perfect either but much
more "perfect" then the 930. I have checked the S-meter
on the 1000D but don´t remember the figures, just
remember that I tought it was "decent".
