Both Hy-Gain and Cushcraft have manuals available on their web site.  Just
make sure you have a good printer (high density) so you can read the small
print and dimensions.  I got the 5 and 6 el manuals from Cushcraft.  They
are all the latest version however.  Take the Cushcraft beams for example. 
The 6 element uses computer optimized spacing and element lengths with are
quite different from the older model (before 1994).  The element
construction is also different so you will need to experiment and model.
