I'd do what George says, test it for loss.

The primary loss mechanism is the weaves in the shield
tarnish and eventually make poor connections. Skin effect
tries to keep the current on the inside surface, and every
outward weave requires a low resistance pressure contact
with an inside lay to maintain low series resistance in the
path along the shield.

I suppose some dielectics could change, but almost all the
loss at HF is related to conductor resistance. That's where
the problem almost always is.

I'd bet the cable is still good.
