On 01/15/05 07:08 pm Jim Lux tossed the following ingredients into the
ever-growing pot of cybersoup:

>>We should always run a common low resistance buss along the
>>bench and tie everything to it. That buss should be commoned
>>with the neutral of the power line entering the operating
>>position, and can (and probably should) tie into the shack
>>entrance panel ground if it is close.

Tom already corrected that error.

You might be able to rebond the neutral at a subpanel, but I'm

According to my understanding that's not OK either. And, as an example,
the main breaker in our house is on the inside wall of the garage, back
to back with the meter on the outside. The only other thing in that box
is a breaker for the garage circuit. The remaining breakers are in a
subpanel in the basement, and the neutral bus there is isolated, with
its own separate conductor from the panel in the garage.
