[TowerTalk] New FCC chariman needs to be a HAM!

IMO that's what is wrong with Boeing now. When I worked for Rockwell
Intl (North American Aviation Div) the engineers worked their way up
to the Division President and V.P. slots. When contracts were
completed they kept the engineers busy on R&D for the next contract,
even at corp expense. Rockwell was able to get the B1-B contract
because of the R&D they had done on their own when the gov't opened
the bidding. They were ready. Then Boeing bought out Rockell Space
and Defense Division. The shuttle craft went down hill, there were no
new big contracts. Boeing then bought out MDA/MDC. Now what is left
of MDA is going to hell. Why, because all the big shots running the
show are MBA's brought in from financial institutions to make money
for the stockholder. They sell the buildings, then have to rent
office space back from the new owners. When contracts end they lay
off 1000's of Engineers and techs with almost no one to do the R&D for
future contracts. When they get a contract they have to hire 1000's
of new people who don't know what they are doing and cause delays and
screw ups.
I am sorry Boeing ever bought out R.I. and MDA. I wonder if anyone
else who worked for a company that Boeing bought out feels the same.
