Tony's right...I forgot to add in the price of a
warc antenna, coax and/or antenna switch.  Probably
brings it to a wash.  Which makes the steppIR convenience
and performance almost free.

Hey Jim,
With the C3 you have dismal performance on 12 and 17M, and no 6M at all.
Sounds like apples to oranges to me.

I think it would be more valid to compare the 3 el
SteppIR price ($1200) against the C3 ($700).

The price of convenience and flexibility is thus $500.

Not that I'm trying to talk you into anything.
It's still a question of price/performance/convenience.
