I did this and am glad I did!

I tried that -- they no longer allow it per code here
in Pasco County, FL.  They have seen too many cracked
slabs from lightning they say.

I also made sure that by design all of the wires to
anything outside (phone, power, antenna, well, etc.
are gathered at the same place as the common ground).

You will want to take a real close look at the kind
of switches and lights they install and let your electrical
and HVAC contractors know that their devices must not
generate RF noise.

When you choose your washer and dryer check them for
RFI at the store.  You will want to subscribe to the
rfi list on contesting.com to learn more about this.
