Yes, it is NOT a suitable tower guy material.  25G calls for 3/16" EHS (extra 
high strength) guy wire that is rated at 4000  pounds breaking strength - 
quite a ways from the above specs. 
 
    Speaking of specs, the LXC Prime Directive is to  "DO what the 
manufacturer says" and EHS is what they call for.

that is quyed at the top and middle.  I like the idea  on non-conductive guys 
but I am concerned about stretch, weathering and  longevity.



    If you're just talking about rope in general, you  don't need clamps you 
can use regular knots. If you're talking about EHS guy  cable, use Preformed 
Big Grips. They're easy to install - unlike clamps - and  you can get them from 
Texas Towers.
