Jose,
I suggest you keep the KLM exactly as it is.... very broadband and 
excellent f/b with good gain.
You won't approximate the f/b and broadbandedness with a single driven 
element.
Just my 2 kopeks ... loved the antenna until the tornado threw it and 
the tower down on top of my minivan back in 92!
