[TowerTalk] Wire size for 800 meter long wire

To get the force you need to bring the wire tight, you
would need a serious "come-along" device...and you
might need to have a block and tackle device as well. 
400 pounds is a lot, but you can do it given enough
time, energy and wire that does not break.  How about
steel cable.  Heavy, but it looks like you have the
place for steel cable....like aircraft or 1/4" type of
cable.  Feeding it would be an issue since you cannot
really bond to it, but a compression clamp might work.
 The anchor's on both ends of the 800 meter long wire
would have to be "hell and stout" to say the least. 
Years ago at a W0QQQ FD, we put up a 550 foot longwire
using coperweld...it was tough to get the sag out as
well.  Bent a lot of poles and trees doing it too.
