[TowerTalk] Multiple e-mails when replying back to the list...

I have complained, for years, that e-mails should go back to the LIST
rather than the sender. I still believe this, but it's NOT the topic of
this message (Thank GOD, some of you say...)

One of my complaints was that I get TWO or more copies of the same e-mail
because MOST people reply to ALL rather than taking the extra second to
reply to the list.

Well, contesting.com has a new feature that will eliminate you getting more
than one e-mail! Here is how it reads...

>Avoid duplicate copies of messages?
>
>When you are listed explicitly in the To: or Cc: headers of a list
>message, you can opt to not receive another copy from the mailing list.
>Select Yes to avoid receiving copies from the mailing list; select No to
>receive copies.
>
>If the list has member personalized messages enabled, and you elect to
>receive copies, every copy will have a X-Mailman-Copy: yes header added to it.

To get there, go here, scroll to the bottom of the page, put in your e-mail
address to EDIT your options.
http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/towertalk

On the next page, enter your password.

When you get to the options page, scroll down to the bottom and click the
YES button in the "Avoid duplicate copies..." box. Click "set globally" if
you want all your contesting.com lists (3830, amps, etc) to have the same
option.

Cool feature!
