connectors for CATV line.

I have made several 2 meter and 440 transformers for use with CATV line.

Use copper tubing from a hobby supply store that has the ID of the OD of the
center conductor. round off the center conductor with a file and fish mouth
the tubing. use copper tubing ID same as OD of hardline to bridge the two
ends.

Using the same technique you can make a connector for SO239.
Cut the hardline outer layer back a few inches. With the center conductor
cleaned of the insulator, slip it into the center of the connector & solder.
Make a sleeve of copper or aluminum and hold it in place with a S S pipe
clamp. This connection will also need to be supported but you can do that
with tape against the tubing or whatever is close to the connection.

I use CATV cable to connect to 2 mtr and 440 antennas. Cheep and low loss.
With a 75 to 52 ohm transformer at each end it works out great.
