You want to do it the easy way? You can "pick" an 80 foot Rohn 45 tower
with a crane truck that is used to lift trusses into place on new home
construction. Cost should run around $300 for a three hour minimum. You simply
assemble the tower horizontally on the ground, have the guy slowly lift it into
place and place it on the "stub sticking out of the ground. Bolt it and attach
the guy wires to the anchors. I've done 45 and 55 this way and it works
great. Have a buddy out there with you to guide the tower into place. A good
operator can set the tower down on a dime.
Go with the 45, it will give you a lot more flexibility in assembling a
antenna farm.
