[TowerTalk] Need help on tower selection

You want to do it the easy way?  You can "pick" an 80 foot Rohn 45  tower 
with a crane truck that is used to lift trusses into place on new home  
construction.  Cost should run around $300 for a three hour minimum.   You simply 
assemble the tower horizontally on the ground, have the guy slowly  lift it into 
place and place it on the "stub sticking out of the ground.   Bolt it and attach 
the guy wires to the anchors.  I've done 45 and 55 this  way and it works 
great.  Have a buddy out there with you to guide the tower  into place.  A good 
operator can set the tower down on a dime.
 
Go with the 45, it will give you a lot more flexibility in assembling a  
antenna farm.
