[TowerTalk] Subject: Gap Titan radials or not?

The presence of those radials is not likely to make
an appreciable difference in performance.

In my experience with GAP antennas, and I've had both
a challenger and a voyager, they work well on all but
their lowest band...where on-ground "radials" are used.
In fact, these 'radials' are part of the antenna, with very low
current flow....but enough to be a problem.

I've been able to compare then against a full sized elevated
ground plane on 40 and 80m, respectively, and differences were
hard to discern.

In the case of the Titan, which I've never used, it has no
on-ground component, and is intended for elevated installation.
I would doubt you'd have any visible benefit from your efforts.
