Dave et al,
As one who lives at +50ft MSL and is down a bit (20-60ft) within a quarter
mile in many directions, I would agree!
One can operate and have lots of fun, but man oh man, there is nothing like
a quiet, rural site and if on VHF/UHF/SHF, a BIG ROCK UNDER YOUR FEET!

The operators that come from the city up here have found that the best
antennas for urban contesters belong to friends in the country.
