[TowerTalk] re coax jumpers help

I once used a PL-259 quick-connect adaptor on a 2m antenna for a mobile radio that I was moving from car to car.  What I got when using it was mostly noise.  I wouldn't trust any of them to be trouble-free.

  How about push-on quick connect PL-259s.  Anyone using these on jumpers for quickly disconnecting from SPG panels?
  How reliable are they?  I've only seen them as adapters where they connect to a regular PL-259.  Are they available as regular solder or crimp-on connectors?
