I use 1/2-13 hex nuts with PVC tape over it to make it smooth and non-snagging.
You tie the line through the hole, tape it up, and fire away.

They're inexpensive, available by the box, etc.

Probably the ballistics isn't as good as lead, but, it seems to work.
