I think using a worm gear wench with a drill is one  easy way 
And this wench will not move without turning the crank (brake or no brake).

I am not sure about 6000# just could be a little large in physical size.

I'm really daunted by the thought of the 2000# and 6000# "wenches".
I'm also disturbed by the application of 12V TO THEM and all the talk about
legs, mounting and sitting on plates.  I also totally befuddled about the
trolley and the relationship of any of this to 45G!
Finally, I never liked bullying, so I can sympathize with your fatigue in
"cranking the hazer up the 25G tower".  Keep up the good work!

I'm tired of crankng the hazer up the 25G tower.....I'm ready for a 12 volt
wench...somebody posted a 2000 pound unit here the other day..but the same
company offers a 6K unit also..but where and how would you mount it, on the
legs..or build a plate for it to sit on....
The other day also a post was made regarding a trolley for a 45G but did not
see any follow up.....
