Bob,

I thought I was doing the lookup correctly. I am assuming that the rating I
need to be looking at is the flat plate rating, which is 8.4 SF for 45G at
90 feet in 90 MPH winds. Adding in 8 SF for the sideloads gives me 16.4 SF.

21 sq ft is not beyond R45.  read the drawings carefully and don't 
forget to add in the 8 sq ft of windload inherent in the draswings.  In 
other words, R45 is rated at 14+8 = 22 sq ft.  in the last drawing I
