On sale for $9.99 right now, I have used the heck out of one for work to
melt hot glue, so that I can melt the 350 degree adhesive clean our hot glue
pumps and nozzles.

Good old Harbor Freight has 1500 watt unit for about 10 bucks, and it works
real well.
