[TowerTalk] Revisited Bolt question

I received some interesting messages on my previous post.  Back when I took
the tower down I slapped this web page up.

Please look at the bolt picture near the bottom of the page.  The bolts have
no markings.  I am planning to replace the bolts with regular grade 5 bolts
from the hardware store that fit snuggly through the holes

 

I have since learned it is a Jontz tower, but have no other information.
Fortunately, here in rural South Dakota this project does not require any
permits.  On the advice of this group I am going to surround my buried tower
section with a rebar cage.  According to the locals I will be the first guy
around here to do this.  The locals just emphasize over and over I must get
deep enough to prevent frost jacking.

 

Hopefully this answers the questions that were asked - please keep the
comments and suggestions coming.
