[TowerTalk] Solid steel bar for screw in earth anchor

What you need is a "digging bar".   It's a ~1" Diameter solid steel bar used for breaking up
tough earth (like what much of NC is made of!  My backyard is a lovely mixture of red clay and
rocks of all sizes).    They're cheap...go to "agri supply" or maybe Harbor freight. They're
quite handy for lots of purposes!

I sympathize with you re: the anchor installtion. They ain't easy to put 5' down by hand (but I
finally did it!)
