What are the equalizer plates for anyway ? 
Will it be ok to lock the equalizer in one position ?
Reason I ask these questions, I miss calculated the bottom guy wire and it is just touching my roof.
I have raised the guywire on the tower 4 feet and it has moved the wire very little.
But if I move the wire at the equalizer plate, it moves the wire much more off my roofe.
If I rotate the equalizer plate and lock down off the roof will that be OK  ???
