[TowerTalk] How much weight can a prop pitch support without a thrust bearing?

I've been using a prop pitch (with the bevel gear and
associated bearing) for over 35 years. It supports a
mast and antennas that weigh a bit over 200 lbs. I've
never had a problem. It appears that you could go
quite a bit heavier if needed.
