Mast Clamp that he designed for the M2 ORION 2800 Rotor???

What Kurt does is rework the factory clamp so that it actually works. The
Orion clamp has 2 fatal problems. One is that the clamping teeth are not in
alignment so there are only a small number of  them that actually clamp the mast;
and they're not enough to keep it from slipping. The other problem is that
the surface for the nuts and bolts is dimpled and over time the dimples wear
down and the mast slips. Kurt's reworking eliminates both of them.

    Also Champion Radio Products has a totally different design that uses
thick galvanized steel and big U-bolts that also eliminates the problems and
has much more mast gripping than the factory unit. It's not currently on the
website but I'd be happy to send you a picture. They're $160 plus shipping.
