You could try painting them using a hi-visibilty spray.
A can would go a long way.
 
If that is not enough, you could zig zag wrap a few feet of the
plastic tape surveyors use between a pair of guys. It is available
in hot pink or yellow at Lowes and Home Dept.
A roll would last many years.
