I don't know about that mod but the one by W5WVO, Bill VanAlstyne is certainly worth it. It lengthens the boom to 18' and re-spaces the elements. Only small changes to the Gamma Match are needed and the antenna becomes MUCH more directional (narrows the beamwidth), and improves the F/B & Gain. You can google it. If you can't find it let me know and I will send the PDF. I had to get a loop because the antenna will not let you hear anything off the back and I was missing openings. The two antennas together make an awesome pair.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Cushcraft 5 element 6M Yagi mod question

Hello folks, I finally bit the bullet and bought myself an Icom 706MkIIG, and will be dipping my feet back into 6M once again. I still have my old 5 element Cushcraft Yagi for the band, and would like to know if anyone has ever performed the mod to it, as per K9MU web page. Link provided below, basically is it worth doing the work to the yagi. If you have done this mod to your antenna, I would like to hear from you... either on or off the reflector...
