[TowerTalk] Aluminum Tubing

I ordered replacement element tips for a current production Force 12 Yagi.
They appear to be the same size as the old ones, but they do not go into the
mating part of the element without pounding. Since I want to be able to
adjust and remove these at some point is there a trick for getting them to
slide in without resorting to heating or slicing the larger tubing? 

I have tried the obvious -- calling Force 12 -- but they are either closed
for Good Friday or are not answering the phone.
