[TowerTalk] Basic safety for a newby?

I have a project - to install a WiFi Access Point inside a triangular
concrete block tower that goes top to bottom in a 6 story residence
(beside the elevator). There are ladder rungs along one wall all the way
up.

Before I step up those rungs, I need a harness and safety rope. Can you
guys advise me as to the appropriate products and procedure to keep me
safe?
