[TowerTalk] EZ Way Tower "Wonder Post"

I had an EZ-way tower at one time (72 footer). The WonderPost was about 10
(+/-) inches in diameter as I recall and about 10 feet tall. At the top of
the post was a hinge where the tower was bolted - sort of like a door hinge
only much larger. The base of the post was mounted with several one inch (I
think) bolts set in the concrete base.

I was amused that installation instructions suggested perhaps using
scaffolding to walk the tower up to attach to the hinge. The tower only
weighed about 700 lbs and the mount point of the tower was not quite as far
up as the height of the post. I hired a crane and it took 30 minutes to get
the tower attached to the post - most of the time was for the crane operator
to maneuver the crane in a very tight place to actually lift the tower. The
crane was about 50 feet away from the base and when the operator picked up
the tower and put it by post the mounting holes of the tower and post were
off alignment by maybe as much as 0.5 inch and easily moved into alignment.

Good luck.
