personally, I threw money at it and moved on.
it comes a little bit over length for my window but with sealant foam
(closed cell. for the over lapped window problem, I rolled and
stuffed small cell bubble wrap down between the overlapped then DUCT
taped the inner top edge and the outer bottom edge. all of that or
course, was over kill as the properly done bubble wrap was a complete
solution in itself.

I then did a few other things like drilling a hole for a 240v line
from the shop building 10' outside my shack window which runs both of
my amps. Another hole for 20a 120V for all the rest of my rigs so
that they are isolated from the house wiring.
I also fed a line for my antenna switch box on teh tower along with
control cable and used one 239 bulkhead for the feed to that box.

I still have a couple more for my PAR 6 m stacked and my VHF/2m
vertical and my 2m yagi.

As I said, MFJ has it all there, already, all I had to do was to drill
a couple of holes, cut it to length insulate and it has been good to
go for a couple of years now. including three hurricanes.
