   In a former life I used to do concrete foundations.  We did regularly
spray our forms with a chemical (been almost 40 years ago) that was like
sorta like automatic transmission fluid, but less viscous.  It had a sealing
property for the wood yet prevented the forms to sticking to the concrete.
We did this mostly to make the 4x8 forms reuseable and not so much to keep
the sheets from sticking to the concrete...

Howdy, TowerTalkians --
 
    I can't ever remember seeing this topic before -  which is pretty rare 
after the last 15+ years of TT. 
 
    I'm pouring a large tower base. What is  an easy and cheap way to keep 
the wooden forms (2x12's) from sticking to  the concrete? I've used motor 
oil a couple of times and couldn't tell if it did  any good. I've used
nothing 
and the forms just peeled off so I'm not sure what  to do. Any plausible 
info appreciated.
