I have steps from W9IIX too, and they replaced homebrew ones.  I didn't find
pictures on the W9IIX web site but they are listed on his order form.  I
took a picture of one of mine for VE7RF and can forward it to anyone wanting
to see it.

A single clamp is a single point failure.  I use W9IIX mast steps 
which use two clamps.  I have required custom mast steps for a Rohn 
SSV Tower and W9IIX provided them based on my requirements incld 
shipping him one example each of the clamps that were required for 
the mast OD sizes (no doubt about the requirements with this 
protocol).  Highly recommended.  Ken K5RG
