Sounds like the traps are in the wrong spot and the only way to tell the
difference is with a grid dip.... Been there, done that....

Measured where? At the feed point? At the end of XXft of ?? coax?

I am  putting back up a Cushcraft A3S tribander after it was on the ground
for  several years.  I've cleaned it and rebuilt it, triple checking  the
dimensions.  Installed at 45 feet, I get the following MFJ 269B  readings
for best resonances: 10m - 26.6 MHz, SWR=1.8, R=38, X=33; 15m -  21.55 MHz,
SWR=4.3, R=8, X=21; 20m - 14.95 MHz, SWR=2.9, R=37,  X=73.

These resonances are very sharp, and clearly not right.  Any  ideas on how
to test this?  Is there a simple way to test each  trap?  While I didn't
open up each trap, I did soak them and  thoroughly rinse them to try to
clean any any stuff that might have been  inside.
