Don't forget Harbor Freight have a Baking Soda Blaster, does a great job
like a sand blaster without the damage: -)

A little shot with even a cheap electric pressure washer will quickly remove
your small areas of latex paint and leave the galvanizing intact.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Paint removal?

I have a HyTower whose 24' of base tower section has been painted to blend n
with the forest. The painter got a little carried away at the ends where
lectrical contact is needed.

I'd like to remove the latex paint at the junctions and other attachment
laces where electrical contact is required. A wire wheel on a drill would
emove the paint, but would also strip the zinc galvanizing layer as well.

I'd like to keep the galvanizing layer to inhibit rust.

What chemistry is suggested?

Dick, K6KR
