Look at your surroundings and pick a color that you think will blend 
into the surroundings best. My towers are in redwoods, so I've painted 
them dark brown. I just finished painting one with Rustoleum. I painted 
the other with ordinary exterior house paint, flat dark brown.  Two 
years later it still looks good. A dull finish is usually better than a 
gloss finish.
