The University of Alaska posts daily auroral forecasts.  They also
have an Aurora Alerts email list.  When the K index increases to the
point Aurora is likely in the lower 48, they send out an email.  It's
going to be cloudy tonight at my QTH but tomorrow it might clear a bit
tomorrow night.
