If the goal is just to get something up to 44-50 ft... rather than a 
push up mast (which has the advantage of small storage size and being 
able to be pushed up within a small area), why not something like a 
couple lengths of galvanized fence top rail with a coupler, or two 
different sizes with a reducer.  Lift it up (falling derrick works 
well), and guy it off..
