That attribute is not a strength - but a weakness.  Any accidental 
counter-clockwise lateral force applied to a single-hole lug causes it to 
loosen from its mounting bolt.  No matter how good the crimp, the quality of 
the lug-to-bolt connection will always be subject to lug turning.  That 
cannot occur with a 2-hole lug mounted on a plate, nor when a radial is 
soldered onto a ring.
