[TowerTalk] Antenna analyzer

Current pricing for the AIM4170C (0.1 to 170MHz) is US$545 from Array
Solutions.

The AIM also does TDR, and reports both the magnitude and sign of the
complex component of impedance -- very handy for designing matching
networks. By running a calibration at the end of your coax, the software can
characterize the antenna as though the coax wasn't present.

Another point. While the AIM analyzers are popular, the VNWA is less than
half the cost, has excellent features, does NOT require power other than
from the computer, and the software written for it is quite powerful. Why
pay $1700 or more when you can buy something as good or better, and with the
useful feature of not needing local power to run, for $750?
