One correction - the added "fixed" six meter element is a first
director.  On six meters, the "three element" SteppIR is four elements
on a 16 foot boom.

The SteppIR performance is certainly competitive with other *four* 
element and "short boom" five element antennas like the unmodified
Cushcraft A-50.  However, comparing the "three element" SteppIR to
M2 (five element) or Innovantennas (six element) antennas on 18 to
20 foot booms is comparing apples to oranges.
