This is perfectly normal; I don't know why you are surprised.
On my HDX-5106, I use an "aluminum racing jack" (hydraulic jack)
that is able to fit underneath the bottom section. It is used
to get the tower to start tipping over when lowering and it is
used to have a controlled landing when standing it up. It also
helps in aligning the bolt holes.
Some people use a wrecking bar as a lever, but it doesn't have
the same degree of control as a jack. You will have to figure
out what works with your HDX-572.
