[TowerTalk] Waller Flag Antenna Question

I want to put up a Waller Flag (to compare it
with my Pennant Antenna on 160).

I found a Hy-Gain 5 el 10 Mtr Beam I can use
as the basis for it, but it only has a 24" Boom.
The Waller I am looking at (on the N4IS site)
calls for a 26" Boom.

Before I go through the process of extending the
Boom with a splice, my question is: How critical
is the element spacing on the Waller. It calls for
12', but how badly will it be messed up if I only
go 10' ??

I don't have EZNEC to model it nor do I even know
how to use it, so that route is out.
