I've been trying to remember specifics about a phasing system that was 
sold commercially for a few years back in the 70s or 80s.  It used two 
verticals and, depending on settings on the desktop, could vary the 
phasing of the verticals over a wide range, producing all sorts of 
patterns.  Anyone recall, or even have one in the basement?
