     A few months after I installed my tower in 2011 I received a new assessment from my county tax office telling me that my home's assessment, and hence my taxes, had increased.

It would be interesting if your Tax was decreased because of this, if it
goes up or stays the same then it did not lower your value.

I recently took out a building permit to erect a 72' crankup tower.  Not
long afterward, I received a letter from my county tax assessor, he had been
notified that a building permit had been issued and was inquiring into the
details of my 'new construction'. A form with multiple choice questions was
provided.  Naturally, 'Ham Radio Tower' was not one of the available choices
so I simply wrote it in the comments section and submitted the form.

Dying to find out whether the county decides that the tower increased or
decreased my property value!  Could be great ammunition against neighbors
who might argue that a tower, nextdoor, would lower their property value.
