[TowerTalk] Ferrite core spacing?

Would it make any difference if the cores in a stack of 6, for 160 
meters are spaced 1/8th inch rather than being stacked in contact. The 
total core would be about an inch longer and have better cooling.  Would 
it affect the total inductance and resistance on 160?
