No kidding.. there's a reason oxy-acetylene is popular. Easy to adjust
the flame, no soot (with an excess of oxygen), lots of heat. I totally
agree. (and of course, a cutting torch is fun...fireworks in your hand)
I've always wanted to try oxy-hydrogen, but haven't had the chance.
totally invisible flame, though.
