You do not need much of a crowd. The tower sections are light and it is
very easy for two people to vertically assemble the tower. Actually
walking up their heaver towers is more difficult, especially if you have a
mast and antenna mounted. I would walk up whatever sections that you can
assemble horizontally and then use a gin pole to complete the
installation. It has been a long time since I did this, I seem to recall
having to modifying a Rohn gin pole to fit the larger Universal sections.

Have erected many Universal towers over the years.
After pouring/installing the base, the best way is to assemble the tower
along the ground and then 'walk it up' (pulling it up is easier).
If you cannot do this, you will need a tower crowd just like for any other
'piece by piece' tower build. Gin-pole and ground crew are a necessity
that way!

Has anyone had experience with the universal 9-50 tower ?
I'm installing one now at my home QTH and do not have the room to assemble
On the ground, doing it the hard way, building up.
Thanks,
