You're not likely to find a "heads up" comparison of the two
antennas since they are so comparable. I doubt anyone has
put up one of each ...

I've been comparing specs and prices on the two - converting the
claimed free space gains for the two antennas to a common reference
shows .2 dB more gain on 10, .1 dB more on 12 for the JK while the
Optibeam claims .1 dB more on 20 and .2 dB more on 17 ... pretty
much a toss-up.

Pictures and tubing sizes say the elements are similarly rugged
and other than square tubing vs. round tubing for the boom mechanical
techniques are very similar. The Optibeam boom is about three feet
longer than the JK; the weight and turning radius is very similar
but the JK has about 1 sq ft more surface area.

Prices are roughly the same - but the exact number will vary as
the US Dollar and Euro move relative to each other and shipping
will probably be more for the Optibeam.

I have one concern about the Optibeam F/B claims - 18 to 25 dB
is a bit high for a two element yagi - too high to be believed
on its face.

The other concern with the Optibeam may be its availability/lead
time here in the US as I doubt they are stocked in the US.
